At Lake Graphics Label and Sign Co. Inc., we put our dye sublimation printing experience and capabilities to work for our customers every day. Our state-of-the-art equipment allows us to produce large format, high-quality fabric signs, banners, table covers and other items that are ideal for retail advertising and large corporate events. Here is a quick look at how dye sublimation printing works.
About Dye Sublimation
Compared to UV inkjet printing on materials like vinyl and paper where the ink sits on the surface of the substrate, dye sublimation transforms the dye into a gas that becomes one with the fabric. This produces amazingly vibrant colors and a soft flexible feel that cannot be achieved with conventional UV printing.
Once the process is complete, the fabric is cut and sewn for its intended use. Our process allows us to print directly onto fabric, or to transfer paper, which gives us the flexibility to manage orders of all sizes.
Highly-Durable, Long-Lasting, Vibrant
Dye sublimation printing on fabrics creates products that are extremely durable. And, since the ink is chemically bonded to the fabric, it can be washed or ironed to refresh its vibrant colors. This is ideal for products that are used multiple times throughout their lifecycle, such as trade show signage. Importantly, the process also transfers vibrant colors to fabric that look superior to basic inkjet printing methods.
